Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information: email address, display name and sign-in information. Google sign-in also involves information shared by Google to authenticate your account.
• Rental contributions: property address and unit information, ratings, review text, anonymity choice, verification status and submission dates.
• Verification information: optional lease or utility documents, and documents and company information submitted for landlord claims.
• Moderation information: review reports, reasons, landlord replies and communications you send us.
• Technical information: hosting and sign-in services may process connection, device and error information needed to deliver and protect the service.

2. How information is used

Information is used to operate accounts, publish reviews and replies, calculate property ratings, assess tenancy and landlord claims, investigate reports, respond to requests and maintain service security. Verification documents are submitted for review, not for public display.

3. What is public

Property listings, visible review text, ratings, dates, verification badges and landlord replies are public and may be indexed by search engines or copied by others. Non-anonymous reviews show your display name. Anonymous reviews do not publicly show your display name, but the review remains linked to your account internally. The address, unit or details you write may allow others to infer who you are; anonymity cannot be guaranteed.

4. Private documents and account information

Email addresses, underlying account identifiers and verification documents are not published with reviews. Documents are stored in private storage and are available to authorized Rent6ix moderators for verification. Submit only documents you are entitled to share, and black out names, signatures, contact details, account numbers and other unnecessary identifiers before uploading. No security measure can guarantee complete protection.

5. Service providers and disclosures

Rent6ix uses Lovable Cloud for account services, application records and document storage. Google participates when you choose Google sign-in, and Google Fonts delivers the site’s fonts. These providers may process technical or account information to provide their services. Information may be processed outside Canada, where local laws may apply. We may disclose information when required by law or to address security, safety or legal claims; anonymous posting does not prevent legally required disclosure.

6. Cookies and browser storage

Sign-in uses browser storage to maintain your session. Infrastructure providers may also use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and secure the site. Blocking or clearing this storage may sign you out or prevent account features from working. The calculator does not require you to submit your income as an account record.

7. Retention and your choices

Records and uploaded documents remain stored unless removed; Rent6ix has not set a fixed automatic deletion schedule. You can request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, or ask about withdrawing consent, by emailing Rent6ixcontact@gmail.com. There is currently no self-service account deletion option. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and some information may need to be retained for legal, security or dispute-related reasons. Removing content here may not remove copies held by others, search engines or provider backups.

Contact Rent6ixcontact@gmail.com for privacy questions or complaints. Include only the information needed to explain your request; do not email passwords or an unredacted lease. Review complaints can also be submitted through the report option on a review. See our Terms of Use for community standards. Updates to this policy will appear here with a revised date.
