Terms of Use

1. Accounts and participation

Use accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure and do not impersonate another person or property manager. You are responsible for activity under your account. Browsing does not require an account; posting reviews, reporting reviews and requesting landlord verification require sign-in.

2. Reviews and replies

Only share facts from your own experience. Clearly distinguish opinions from factual claims. You remain responsible for what you submit.

• Do not post false or misleading allegations, fake reviews, undisclosed paid endorsements or coordinated rating manipulation.
• Do not include anyone’s personal information, including names of private individuals, phone numbers, emails, financial details or identifying lease information.
• Do not post threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, spam or content you do not have permission to share.
• Landlord replies must address the review respectfully and must not identify an anonymous reviewer or retaliate against them.

3. Publication and verification

Reviews appear immediately and can be reported. Posting anonymously hides your display name from public view; it does not make your account anonymous to Rent6ix or prevent someone from recognizing details in your story. A tenancy badge indicates a moderator checked a submitted document, not that every allegation is proven. An owner/manager badge reflects approval of a property claim, not an endorsement or legal finding.

4. Reporting and disputes

Use the report option on a review, or contact Rent6ixcontact@gmail.com. Include the property or review link, the statements at issue, why you believe they break these rules and any relevant supporting information. Do not send unnecessary personal information. Rent6ix may hide content that breaks these terms while reviewing a complaint. A report does not automatically remove a review. Landlords with approved property claims can respond publicly. Contact the same address to request reconsideration of a moderation decision.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of your content. By submitting it, you give Rent6ix a non-exclusive permission to store, display and process it as needed to operate and moderate the service. Private verification documents are used for verification and are not published as reviews. Please redact documents before uploading them. Requests concerning your content or documents can be sent to Rent6ixcontact@gmail.com.

6. Information, not professional advice

Reviews are user contributions, not findings by a court, tribunal or Rent6ix. Ratings do not establish compliance with Ontario law. The rent calculator uses general estimates and is not a guarantee of affordability or landlord approval. Rent6ix does not provide legal, financial or housing advice. Confirm important information independently; tenancy disputes may require the Landlord and Tenant Board or a qualified Ontario legal professional.

7. Availability and applicable law

We cannot guarantee that user content is accurate or that the service will always be available or error-free. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms are governed by Ontario law and applicable Canadian federal law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you.
